This is the eighth edition of the backgrounder produced by the Non-Smokers’ Rights Association (NSRA) which contains the most current information available on the Canadian tobacco industry and its market in a user-friendly format. It is not meant to be a scientific review of all the available information on the subject, but rather a practical reference tool. The information on the tobacco market comes from reliable sources such as Health Canada and Statistics Canada. Information on the tobacco companies comes mostly from their own annual shareholder reports and websites.
